The mission of the C.I.P. is to promote understanding and to improve education about California's Direct Democracy Experience.

This site is non-partisan and analytical in nature. Through analysis and attention to the PROCESS of ballot measure campaigns in the state, it is our goal to better educate the public, voters, the media, and other interested parties in the rise of Direct Democracy as a key component of public policy in the state.
